Dust-collection fittings aren’t standardized. A “1-1/4 inch” or “2-1/2 inch” label doesn’t guarantee anything will actually fit, because all of the tool manufacturers want to sell you proprietary adapters for their proprietary ports. While many vacuum hose connectors claim to be “universal”, they’re usually not, which means every connection becomes a workaround.

When dust collection is a hassle, it doesn’t happen. And it needs to for our health. That’s why we created the HoseJoy system. It makes dust collection effortless, no matter what size or brand of hose, and no matter what size the tool ports are. HoseJoy is the “USB C” universal connector for power tools and dust extractors.
How It Works
HoseJoy turns dust collection into a consistent shop-wide system. It allows you to connect any hose to any tool, regardless of manufacturer, and it even allows you to connect hoses from different (or same) manufacturers together, regardless of size. You can connect a 7/8″ sander hose or a 4″ flexible stationary tool hose — and everything in between — to your central 4″ branch lines or portable dust extractors with a simple magnetic click.
The goal is simple: every tool connects the same way, airflow is never obstructed, and nothing in the system is a janky workaround.
